Președintele Libanului, Joseph Aoun, a declarat că țara sa a rezistat mult, dar nu s-a dat înapoi și s-a dovedit că a avut dreptate, mulțumind în același timp Statelor Unite și partenerilor regionali, în special Arabiei Saudite, pentru ajutorul acordat în obținerea încetării focului.

Joseph Aoun a mulțumit în mod special președintelui american Donald Trump și Arabiei Saudite pentru rolul lor în obținerea acordului de încetare a focului. El a asigurat că niciun acord nu va compromite „drepturile, principiile sau suveranitatea” Libanului și că scopul final este „să salvăm Libanul și poporul său”. (Anima News)
Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun stated that his country endured a great deal but did not back down and it became clear they were right, while thanking the United States and regional partners, especially Saudi Arabia, for helping secure the ceasefire.

In a speech to the nation, Aoun said Lebanon is entering a new phase toward “permanent agreements”. He stressed that negotiations are not weakness or concessions.
“For the first time in nearly half a century, we have reclaimed Lebanon’s decision-making… We are no longer a tool or battleground for others,” the president declared.
Joseph Aoun specifically thanked US President Donald Trump and Saudi Arabia for their role in achieving the ceasefire agreement. He assured that no deal will compromise Lebanon’s “rights, principles, or sovereignty” and that the goal is “to save Lebanon and its people”.

ג'וזף עון הודה במיוחד לנשיא ארה"ב דונלד טראמפ ולערב הסעודית על תפקידם בהשגת הסכם הפסקת האש. הוא הבטיח כי שום הסכם לא יפגע ב"זכויות, עקרונות או ריבונות" של לבנון וכי המטרה היא "להציל את לבנון ואת עמה".
