În această săptămână, citirea Torei marchează un moment de tranziție major: deschiderea celei de-a treia cărți, Leviticul. Pericopa "Vayikra" mută atenția de la marile drame istorice spre detaliile intime ale spiritualității individuale și ale ritualurilor din Sanctuar.
ANIMA NEWS - Cuvântul care dă numele pericopei, "Vayikra" („Și El a chemat”), se distinge printr-o particularitate grafică unică în textele sacre: ultima literă (Alef) este scrisă vizibil mai mic.
Tradiția explică această anomalie ca pe un simbol al modestiei absolute a lui Moise în fața apelului divin.
Mai departe, textul prezintă un catalog detaliat al jertfelor (Korbanot) care trebuiau aduse în Tabernacol.
Deși conceptul de sacrificiu animal pare străin lumii moderne, rădăcina cuvântului ebraic *Korban* înseamnă „a te apropia”. Scopul acestui sistem nu era de a potoli o zeitate mânioasă, ci de a oferi omului o metodă fizică, tangibilă, de a se reconecta cu Creatorul după o greșeală sau într-un moment de recunoștință profundă.
Pericopa clasifică clar ofrandele în funcție de intenție (pentru păcate neintenționate, de pace, de mulțumire) și, foarte important, în funcție de posibilitățile financiare ale individului.
Cel bogat aducea o bovină, iar cel sărac putea aduce un pumn de făină, Tora subliniind că ambele gesturi au exact aceeași greutate spirituală.
Mesajul central al pericopei Vayikra transcende ritualul antic: adevărata apropiere spirituală necesită smerenie (simbolizată de Alef-ul mic) și disponibilitatea de a sacrifica o parte din propriul ego sau confort pentru a restaura armonia cu sine și cu ceilalți. (Anima News)

Tradition explains this detail as a symbol of Moses's absolute humility in the face of the divine call. Furthermore, the text presents a detailed catalog of the sacrifices (Korbanot) to be brought to the Tabernacle. Although the concept of animal sacrifice seems alien to the modern world, the root of the Hebrew word *Korban* means "to draw near." The purpose of this system was not to appease an angry deity, but to provide a physical, tangible method for human beings to reconnect with the Creator after a transgression or during a moment of profound gratitude.
The portion clearly classifies offerings according to intention (for unintentional sins, peace offerings, thanksgiving) and, crucially, according to the individual's financial means. A wealthy person would bring cattle, while a poor person could bring a handful of flour, with the Torah emphasizing that both gestures carry the exact same spiritual weight. The central message of the Vayikra portion transcends the ancient ritual: true spiritual closeness requires humility (symbolized by the small Aleph) and the willingness to sacrifice a part of one's ego or comfort to restore harmony with oneself and with others.
